Diesel vs petrol cars

After having petrol cars for a number of years I recently switched back to a diesel. Both petrol and diesel cars have their advantages and disadvantages and often it is totally dependent on the individuals driving style and preferences.

I was always put off by diesel cars as I assumed that they would be slower but with advances in technology over the last 10-15 years or so, this is now a thing of the past. Many diesel cars now come fitted with a turbo giving them that extra bit of a boost to get going. They are usually more fuel economical than the equivalent petrol and often the engines will last longer than on a petrol car.

There are many difference ways in the way you should drive a diesel and petrol car and it is best to do your research and ideally test drive both before deciding which one to go for.
